Expectations Overview

In order to provide the best service possible, I talk to the students to set expectations from the first meeting. Great tutoring is about mentorship, setting an example for the student, and gaining their trust. Expectations from both parents and students are:

  • Clear communication about desired outcomes

  • Punctuality

  • Regular meetings to enhance continued success

  • Respect

  • Honoring the cancellation policy

  • Payment for hours of work provided


Cancellation Policy

In case of illness or emergency please send a text to your tutor directly. Please be on time for your appointments. If you are running late, please send a text to your tutor with an approximate arrival time.

Your weekly appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. This reservation prevents that time from being available for other students. We always appreciate notice of schedule changes as early as possible. However, we also understand that sometimes emergencies do come up. With this in mind, Golden Tutors has the following schedule change and cancellation policy:

All schedule changes and cancellations must be made via email or text to establish the time of notice. Schedule changes or cancellations made 48 hours or more before your appointment time will incur no charges. Schedule changes or cancellations, for any reason, made less than 48 hours before your appointment time will be charged the full fee for the session unless it is due to an emergency or serious or contagious illness, in which case 50% of the full fee will be charged. Students with excessive schedule changes or cancellations may be asked to give up their on-going weekly appointment time slot.
